Stride’s Enrollment Process Now Simpler Than Ever With Enhanced Direct Enrollment

enhanced direct enrollment

At Stride, we’re constantly thinking about ways to help people who work for themselves save time and money on health insurance. From making it easy to find government subsidies that lower the cost of your health insurance plan to streamlining the application process, we aim to help you enroll in the best plan that fits your needs at the lowest possible price, in 10 minutes or less.

Over the past few months we’ve been working on something really big: integrating directly with, the Federal Government’s system of record for health insurance purchases. Why is that such a big deal? Well, it means that once you’ve chosen the perfect plan recommended for you by Stride, you’ll be able to secure money-saving premium tax credits that will help lower your health insurance costs and fully enroll in that plan without ever having to leave Stride. In the past, you’d need to visit and re-enter your information there in order to get your subsidy, which was a hassle.

Integrating with government technology is kind of a big deal, which is why we’re so proud to have been approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to partner with them and make it even easier for people to get the coverage they need. The integration is called “enhanced direct enrollment,” or EDE for short, and it’s held to crazy-high standards of security and privacy, so rest assured that your information will be protected and safe.

We wanted to be sure this was in place by the end of the Federal Exchange Open Enrollment Period, otherwise known as OEP (yep, we love our three-letter acronyms, or TLAs for short 😉) to make this year’s enrollment process easier than ever. And of course everything else you’ve come to expect from Stride—all of the plans you’d find on the government exchanges at the lowest possible prices with post-enrollment customer support from our award-winning member experience team—will all be ready to help you get the coverage you need.

Thanks again for being a Stride member!
