Announcing Stride for Rover Sitters!

We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Rover, the world’s largest network of pet sitters and dog walkers! Together we’re going to help Rover’s community of over 200,000 sitters save time and money on health, dental, vision, life, accident, and disability insurance, as well as help them track their business expenses and lower their tax bills.

As healthcare costs continue to rise, it’s never been more important to get the right coverage. At the same time, it’s never been more complex and stressful to get enrolled and insured. Today’s independent workers, freelancers, and small business owners face a dizzying array of options and complicated processes to enroll in the insurance they need, while also paying more than they should because they’re not aware of subsidies that can help lower their premiums. This can be an extremely time-consuming process that takes away from time that could be spent pet sitting and dog walking.

To get help finding insurance, Rover sitters will be asked a few questions in Stride’s simple online assessment, and will then receive tailored plan recommendations chosen just for them - usually within 10 minutes or less.

Rover sitters can also download the free Stride app. With the Stride app, they can track their expenses throughout the year to make sure they submit all of the money-saving deductions they deserve at tax time.

In addition to these and other tools we’re developing for the future, we’ll also be working with Rover to create customized webinars to teach Rover sitters the ins and outs of insurance and taxes.
