COVID-19 Info Center for Independent Workers
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is top of mind for almost everyone right now, but especially for independent workers. You’re probably seeing an increase in the need for your services (and your gig platform is likely responding with relief funds), whether it’s coming from people needing a ride because they are avoiding taking public transportation, or folks ordering delivery groceries and meals to avoid restaurants and grocery stores. To stay healthy during this scary and busy time, check out these resources, which will be updated regularly as new information comes in.
Putting Your Health Insurance to Work
If you don’t have health insurance, consider finding a policy. It could save you money on your health care expenses and give you peace of mind. With subsidies, the right health plan could cost less than you think.
Open Enrollment runs from November 1 through December 15 each year, and some states have longer enrollment windows. But if you suddenly lose coverage, add to your family, or move at any time during the year, you could qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
