Introducing Stride for Health Plans: everything you need to give your customers, agents and sales teams an amazing experience enrolling in ACA health plans.

We’re really excited to announce Stride for Health Plans, an e-commerce platform that provides health insurance companies everything they need to enroll customers in Affordable Care Act health plans. It offers all three phases of Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE), it can be fully branded with your logo, colors and fonts, and can be implemented right out of the box or with a customized integration. All of this is built using the same customer-focused, mobile-friendly user experience that we use for Stride’s own online consumer enrollment site. 

Stride was founded in 2014 on the idea that enrolling in affordable health insurance should be as easy as buying something on Amazon. We started by building a mobile-friendly health insurance shopping and comparison tool that searches all of the Affordable Care Act plans to recommend the right plan based on an individual’s preferred doctors, prescription requirements, medical needs, and family situation. Since most people were getting financial help from the government, they had to head over to HealthCare.gov to submit their application after getting their recommendation, which was a huge hassle.

So a few years ago when the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced “Enhanced Direct Enrollment”—a way to integrate directly into HealthCare.gov so people could submit their health insurance application without ever leaving Stride—we were one of the first companies to build that integration. It was a lot of work: we had to build a highly secure platform and pass a battery of intense security audits, but it was definitely worth it to make it easy and safe for our customers to get covered.

Thanks to our partnerships with Uber, DoorDash, Amazon, Lyft, Grubhub, Gopuff, and more than 120 other work platforms, communities and employers, we’ve helped millions of people shop for—and seamlessly enroll in—Affordable Care Act health insurance.

And now we’re making that enterprise-grade technology available for health insurance companies like Oscar who want to offer their customers, agents and sales team that same easy-to-use, mobile-friendly, and highly secure enrollment experience. 

With Stride for Health Plans, health insurance companies can:
